DRAFT CDPHE Disproportionately Impacted Communities using 2010 census block group geographic boundaries and 2015-2019 American Community Survey data. This map layer displays disproportionately impacted communities as defined by the Environmental Justice Act (HB21-1266), which are census block groups where greater than 40% of households are 1) low income, 2) housing cost-burdened, or 3) include people of color. The bill further defines these communities. CDPHE is currently in the process of mapping areas that meet other parts of the definition through the CO EnviroScreen tool. Additional criteria identified in the bill are not currently displayed in the viewer, but may be added as additional data is generated or becomes available. Census block groups incorporating tribal lands are not included in this version. |
